Tonight::Guest Teacher Kevin Courtney::Northside Pics

This past weekend YfMA and Northside Music Festival brought yoga to the dirtiest, grittiest rock club they could find (sorry, Death by Audio!).
Amidst the stage lights, cigarette butts, and stale beer smell (sounds real blissful, yeah?), we laid down our mats and had class.And it was awesome.
Punk rock and dancing followed, see pics below.
Thanks to Mindy at Tom Tom Magazine for hosting!

Heartland Retreat - July 23-25 with FonLin, Stevie, Bizza, Monika, and Molly
Yoga for Musicians and Artists presents:
Yoga + Drumming + Singing Weekend at Heartland

Music = Vibrations = Yoga

Yoga is vibrations. Drumming is vibrations. Singing is vibration
s. Food makes you feel good.

Yoga and music are both ways of tapping into our inner potential, to expand our spirits beyond the limitations of our bodies. They connect us to our inner rhythms and vibrations, and foster moments of togetherness and transcendence.

We'll use the rhythms and vibrations of music and our own movements to connect to ourselves, each other.

(On the practical side, yoga is also a useful tool for stretching out after riding for hours in a tour van, alleviating that hang over, and dealing with internal band conflict!)

Plus, it's real pretty and quiet up there.
